Observed employee drink with a lid and a straw stored above and next to single service articles (plates) on a cart located behind the serving line. There was also a bag of open chips stored next to the drink. PIC advised that employee food cannot be consumed in the food preparation area. Employee drinks must be stored to prevent contamination. PIC corrected on site by relocating both food and drink items.
