When Inspector arrived at the facility, the PIC was holding a baby. Child was carried in front food/prep service area and main kitchen area where the 3 comp sink, freezer, and item storage is held. Persons unnecessary to the food service establishment operation are not allowed in the food preparation, food storage, or warewashing areas to prevent exposure of food, clean equipment, utensils, and linens, and unwrapped single-service to contamination.

Manager that formerly held CFSM certification is no longer with the business. There is no CFSM for the facility at this time but information was given about what classes can be taken to fulfill the requirement.

Observed personal food items stored in the same container as smoothie powders. Personal food items must be stored separately from food service establishment food items to prevent cross contamination. COS items moved to another location.

Observed multiple child toys, furniture, and food items in the front food prep/service area. Observed unused baby changing table in corner of main kitchen. All items not essential to the function of the food service establishment must not be stored in any food storage, service, or preparation area. All personal items must be stored away from food items and prep surfaces and stored in a way that prevents contamination of food items and prep surfaces. COS all miscellaneous items removed from front food prep/service area.

Observed the PIC preparing food items in the front food service area without a proper hair restraint. All food handling staff members must wear proper head and/facial hair restraints.

Observed the communal dumpster for the facility without a drain plug. A drain plug must be added to prevent liquid waste from spilling from the dumpster when it is emptied.
