2-2E - response procedures for vomiting & diarrheal events
Regulation: 511-6-1.03(6) - clean-up of vomiting and diarrheal events(pf)
Observed no bodily fluid cleanup kit available in facility. CA: A food establishment shall have written procedures for employees to follow and an EPA registered disinfectant effective against Norovirus available on-site at the food service establishment when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events that involve the discharge of vomitus or fecal matter onto surfaces in the food service establishment. COS: PIC will obtain a bodily fluid clean up kit by correct by date.
Follow up: 5/8/2026 Facility has bodily fluid clean up kit.
4-2B - food-contact surfaces: cleaned & sanitized
Regulation: 511-6-1.05(7)(a)1 - equipment, food-contact surfaces,& utensils (pf)
Observed drink nozzles in lobby area not cleaned at a frequency to maintain food contact surfaces clean to sight and touch. CA: Food contact surfaces such as drink nozzles shall be cleaned at least every 24 hours. COS: PIC had drink nozzles detailed clean during inspection.
4-2B - food-contact surfaces: cleaned & sanitized
Regulation: 511-6-1.05(6)(n) - manual and mechanical warewashing equipment, chemical sanitization-temperature, ph, concentration, hardness (p,pf)
Observed sanitizer in three compartment sink held at a concentration lower than manufacturers recommended concentration. CA: A chemical sanitizer used in a sanitizing solution for a manual or mechanical operation at contact times specified under subsection (8)(b)3 of this Rule shall meet the requirements specified in DPH Rule 511-6-1-.07(6)(g). COS: PIC remade sanitizer to correct concentration.
12B - personal cleanliness
Regulation: 511-6-1.03(5)(g) - jewelry (c)
Observed employees handling food while wearing bracelets and a watch. CA: Except for a plain ring such as a wedding band food employees may not wear jewelry including medical information jewelry on their arms and hands while preparing food. COS: PIC had employees remove jewelry.
17D - adequate ventilation and lighting; designated areas used
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(4)(b) - designated areas for employee activity, located to prevent contamination of food, equipment, utensils, linens, & single service articles (c)
Observed employee cell phones, head phones, tools and other personal items stored on shelf above food prep surface in kitchen. CA: Areas designated for employees to eat, drink, use tobacco products and electronic devices shall be located so that food, equipment, linens, and single-service and single-use articles are protected from contamination. COS: PIC moved personal items to an area were they wont contaminate food or equipment.
