8-2B - toxic substances properly identified, stored, used

Observed multiple personal employee items in the food service preparation area. Informed the PIC that personal items must be stored in a designated area away from the food prep area. PIC had the items removed from the area upon request.
12B - personal cleanliness
Employees preparing or handling food shall use effective and clean, disposable or easily cleanable nets or other hair restraints approved by the Health Authority, worn properly to restrain loose hair including beards and mustaches longer than one half inch.
- This does not apply to employees such as counter staff who only serve beverages and wrapped or packaged foods, hostesses, and wait staff if they present a minimal risk of contaminating exposed food, clean utensils and linens and unwrapped single-service and single-use articles. Observed multiple employees with no hair restraints on at the time of inspection. PIC instructed employees to use proper hair restraints.
15C - nonfood-contact surfaces clean

Observed the self-service drink area in need of cleaning. Visible signs of multiple drink spills not cleaned and trash build-up was observed. PIC cleaned the area personally.
