3 - hot/cold running water under pressure in all required locations of tourist accommodation
Regulation: 511-6-2-.07(2) - hot water supply
EHS observed the hot water to be above 120F in all rooms, temps as follows:
- Room 105 (124)
- Room 115 (125)
- Room 121 (125)
- Room 229 (124)
- Room 231 (126)
511-6-2-.07(2) - Hot Water Supply Cold running water under pressure shall be provided to all equipment that uses water. Hot and cold running water under pressure shall be provided to all lavatories, bathing facilities, laundry facilities, and water-using equipment where eating and drinking utensils are washed. In all new tourist accommodations, and where possible in existing tourist accommodations, hot water in all guest rooms shall not exceed 120F.
CA: Advised PIC that water temperatures in guest's rooms are not to exceed 120F, and recommended boiler temperature is lowered
8 - annual gas fired equipment inspection on file; gas units equipped with automatic safety and/or 100% cut-off pilot
Regulation: 511-6-2-.15(5) - heating and fire safety-inspection
EHS observed that the gas-fired equipment inspection could not be provided at the time of inspection. PIC indicated that he believed no inspection was required as their water heater/ boiler operated below 199BTUs.
511-6-2-.15(5) - Heating and Fire Safety-Inspection All gas-fired equipment shall be inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority, if available. Points to be inspected are proper construction and installation, malfunctions and adjustments of controls and burners, faulty heat exchangers and vent obstructions. Any defects found on inspection must be corrected by a qualified heating contractor prior to use of the equipment. Upon request, the operator shall provide evidence of inspection and/or correction of any deficiency
CA: Advised PIC that gas-fire equipment inspections are required annually by a licensed contractor or local fire authority if the facility operates gas-fired equipment
10 - permit and inspection report current and properly displayed; pic assigned
Regulation: 511-6-2-.05(7) - inspection posting
EHS observed most recent inspection report not to be on display. The inspection on display present a grade of 89, however the most recent inspection performed on 02/20/25 resulted in a grade of 78.
511-6-2-.05(7) - Inspection Posting The most recent tourist accommodation inspection report form shall be prominently displayed in public view at all times, between five feet and seven feet from the floor and in a public area such as the registration desk, where it can be read at a distance of one foot away.
CA: Advised PIC that the most recent TA inspection must be made available for public view, and the facility is to post the TA inspection after an inspection is performed
33 - housekeeping carts and storage areas maintained; clean/sanitized items protected from contamination
Regulation: 511-6-2-.17(2) - housekeeping carts
EHS observed a housekeeping cart containing two spray bottles used for cleaning with no labels.
511-6-2-.17(2) - Housekeeping Carts Housekeeper carts shall be so arranged that clean replacement supplies, clean linens, and cleaned and sanitized multi-use equipment and utensils shall be protected from soiled items being removed from each room. Soiled linens and refuse shall be placed in appropriate containers on housekeepers’ carts. Any spray bottle used in cleaning a tourist room or stored on the housekeeping cart shall be labeled with its contents. Cleaners and sanitizer shall be used according to the manufacturer’s use direction and label.
CA: Advised PIC that spray bottles used in cleaning are to labeled with it's current contents
