At time of inspection, observed no paper towel at the handwashing sink in the kitchen, nor at the handwashing sink in the restroom. COS: PIC replaced the paper towel.

At time of inspection, observed no hot water available at the three-compartment sink. PIC states there is a leak in the hot water line, so the hot water line was turned off. PIC states he turns the valve on and off as-needed to use the hot water in the three-compartment sink. PIC states repairman is scheduled to come out to fix the leaking line, so that the hot water line can remain on and available at all times.

At time of inspection, observed the door to the restroom in the breakfast area not self-closing (observed door open at time of inspection). PIC closed the door and states a self-closing hinge will be installed on the door, to ensure that the door remains closed.

At time of inspection, observed lack of paper towel at the handwashing sink in the restroom (Repeat Violation), as well as in the kitchen. COS: PIC replaced the paper towel.

At time of inspection, the hot water valve at the three-compartment sink is not functioning, causing there to be no hot water available at the sink for warewashing. PIC states he will contact repairman to fix the issue.

10/3/2025: I received a call from the owner, stating that the valve has been repaired. I stopped by the facility and verified that the valve has been repaired, and there was hot water available at the warewashing sink. This violation has been corrected.

At time of inspection, no hot water was available at the handwashing sink in the restroom (in lobby, next to breakfast area). At time of inspection, the warmest temperature that registered was 70 degrees F (handwashing sinks must be equipped to provide water at a temperature of at least 85 degrees F). PIC states he will investigate and ensure that hot water is available at the handwashing sink.

At time of inspection, observed empty paper towel dispenser in the lobby restroom. PIC states he will acquire more paper towels and will refill the dispenser.

At time of inspection, observed a loose seal around the door of the reach-in cooler in the main kitchen (the door appears warped, preventing the door from completely sealing at the top, outer corner). PIC states he will have someone look at the refrigerator and attempt to adjust the door so that it seals.

At time of inspection, observed lack of handwashing signage at a sink that PIC stated employees use for handwashing. EHS discussed with PIC that new/future employees need to be made aware that sinks designated for handwashing shall only be used for handwashing, and for no other purpose.
