Regulation: 511-6-1.03(2)(o) - person-in-charge duties (pf)
PIC could not demonstrate in a verifiable manner that employees are/were aware of their responsibility to report illnesses and symptoms of foodborne diseases. Advised PIC that an employee health policy and agreement forms shall be produced to the Health Authority upon request. Advised PIC to obtain an employee health policy and agreement forms and maintain at the establishment.
2-2E - response procedures for vomiting & diarrheal events
Regulation: 511-6-1.03(6) - clean-up of vomiting and diarrheal events(pf)
Observed establishment without written procedures for vomit/fecal events. Advised PIC that written procedures and approved EPA disinfectant shall be onsite at all times in order to respond to vomit/fecal events and maintain on-site at all times.
17C - physical facilities installed, maintained, and clean
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(1)(a) - indoor materials (c)
Observed absorbent ceiling tiles throughout the main kitchen area. Advised PIC that materials for indoor floor, wall, and ceiling surfaces under conditions of normal use shall be smooth, durable, and cleanable for areas where food service establishment operations are conducted. Advised to place/coat absorbent ceiling tiles with epoxy or to replace ceiling tiles with nonabsorbent ceiling tiles.
