DOMAIN AT CEDAR CREEK APARTMENTS (POOL1)

13-190(a)(7): Observed flow meter inoperable without a float present to measure the GPM. No accurate way to measure the flow rate. CA: An adequately sized flow meter shall be installed on the return line to accurately indicate the circulation rate in gallons per minute (GPM); shall be conspicuously located.

13.189(c)(1): chlorine should be kept between the range of 3.0 and 10.0 ppm at all times when the pool is operating.

• free chlorine was observed at 1.01ppm. -Chlorine was in the chlorinator, chlorinator level was set to 4 of 5 levels. CPO stated that he will purchase new test kit to see if that would give better readings.

Observed Cyanuric acid levels at 131ppm. Cyanuric may not exceed a level of 100ppm. Discussed with CPO that the pool must be drained half way and then refilled with fresh water.

• free chlorine was observed at 0.02 and 0.11 -CPO stated that there wasn't any chlorine in the chlorinator, CPO added chlorine to the chlorinator and turned the chlorinator up to level 5.

13-184(e)(5): unsecured handrail is considered an imminent health hazard. -Observed ladder rail without steps to the ladder. -CPO stated that he will order steps and secure them to the rail.

13.189(c)(1): chlorine should be kept between the range of 3.0 and 10.0 ppm at all times when the pool is operating.

• free chlorine was observed at 1.68 and 2.11
• able to raise fcl to 3.40 before end of inspection

pH must be maintained between 7.2 and 7.8. -initially measured at 6.7 -raised to 7.3 before conclusion of inspection.

13-202(l): float line should be in place upon the slope break where depths exceed 5 feet. -multiple broken buoys on the float line. -informed me that they had ordered an replacement.

At all times water clarity should be kept so that the main drains at the deepest part of the pool are clearly visible.

• water was cloudy at time of inspection.

13.189(c)(1): chlorine should be kept between the range of 3.0 and 10.0 ppm at all times when the pool is operating.

• free chlorine was observed at 0.02 ppm

13-197(a): water shall be continuously chemically treated with an approved disinfectant. -chlorinator was observed to be low in tablets.

13-202: must maintain daily record of chemicals. -log had not been updated since July 6, 2024.

13-202(l): float line should be in place upon the slope break where depths exceed 5 feet. -observed multiple broken buoys on the float line. -could be sharp and harmful to bathers and must be fixed.

13-184(e)(5): unsecured handrail is considered an imminent health hazard. -ladder handrail was observed to be loose and came out of pool deck upon pulling.

13-189(a)(5): pool shall be kept free of debris. -leaves observed on the bottom of the pool.

13-189(c): pH must be maintained between 7.2 and 7.8 at all times. -measured at 7.0 initially. -was able to correct while on site.

13-190(a): the equipment shall operate on a 24 hour basis and reach 6 turnovers. The GPM was at 90 and should be around 167 GPM.

13-202: entry to the pool must be through a self closing gate. -one gate has a non-functional latch and was open when I arrived. operator placed padlock on the gate. emphasized that it must remain padlocked at all times until latch repaired.

13-202(a)(3): when pool is not open for use access to pool should prohibited by closing and securing all gates. Must display a sign that reads "pool closed" -operator claimed that pool was closed for maintenance when I arrived, but there was no sign.

13-189(c)(1): free-chlorine must be at least 3ppm for outdoor pools at all times.

• free chlorine was less than one parts per million. Must make sure chlorine is at appropriate levels before reinspection

13-190(a): the equipment shall operate on a 24 hour basis and reach 6 turnovers. The GPM was at 100 and should be at 140.

13-202(c): operators should maintain records of daily disinfectant levels and pH, and maintenance. -records not taken daily; no indication of corrections when chemicals out of required range.

13-189(a)(5): all pools shall be kept free from sediment, dirt or debris by frequent brushing and vacuuming. visible scum should be removed immediately. -observed debris & litter at the bottom of the pool.

Observed deck cracking, repair.
