There is an equalizer line cover that does not have a cover. The line is covered with an inlet cover. Remove inlet cover and protect the equalizer line with the appropriate cover. The skimmer equalizer lines shall be protected by an approved cover/grated with a flow rating equal the maximum system flow divided by the number of skimmers in the system or the maximum flow rating of the skimmer, whichever is greater. Suction outlets shall be provided with a cover that has been tested and approved by a nationally recognized testing laboratory and shall comply with the current ANSI/APSP16 , Suction Fittings For Use in Swimming Pools, Wading Pools, Spas, and Hot Tubs. Must be corrected by routine inspection.

he words "No Diving" does not meet the minimum height requirements for the depth markers. There is no universal symbol for No Diving present at each depth marker. The words "No Diving" and the universal international symbol for “NO DIVING” shall be permanently visible at the edge of the deck for water five feet in depth or less, placed only on the deck beside the depth markers, and shall conform to that outlined for depth markers. There are large gaps under portions of the fencing. All outdoor swimming pools and spas shall be enclosed by a barrier to prevent entry to the pool area when the pool is closed. (a) The top of the barrier shall be at least forty eight inches above grade measured on the side of the barrier which faces away from the swimming pool. 1. The maximum vertical clearance between a solid surface and the bottom of the barrier shall be four inches measured on the side of the barrier which faces away from the swimming pool. 2. For non-solid surfaces, the vertical clearance between the bottom of the barrier and the grade shall not exceed two inches for a barrier constructed after adoption of the chapter. 3. Where the top of the pool structure is above grade, the barrier may be at ground level, such as the pool structure. 4. Where the barrier is mounted on top of the pool structure, the maximum vertical clearance between the top of the pool structure and the bottom of the barrier shall be four inches.

There is poor water quality and the main drains can not be easily seen from the pool's edge. Water clarity shall be maintained. When standing at the pool's edge at the deep end, the main drain suction outlet covers or a four inch by four inch square marker tile in contrasting color shall be clearly visible. When standing at a spa's edge, the deepest portion of the spa floor shall be visible when the water is still. 1. For pools over ten feet deep an eight inch by eight inch square marker tile in a contrasting color to the pool floor shall be visible at all deepest part of the pool. 2. This reference point shall be visible at all times from the edge of the deck.

There are gaps under the pool fence. Ensure barrier is completely secure to prevent unauthorized access. Openings in the barrier shall not allow passage of a four inch diameter sphere.

The entry and exit gate can not remain open. All gates must be in good repair and properly self close and self latch. The latching devices must meet the requirements of the code to prevent unauthorized access to pool. Access gates shall also comply with the requirements of this Rule and shall be equipped to accommodate a locking device. Barrier gates shall open away from the pool in facilities constructed after adoption of this chapter. Pedestrian access gates shall be self-closing and have a self-latching device. Gates other than pedestrian access gates shall have a self-latching device. Where the release mechanism of the self latching device is located less than fifty-four inches from the bottom of the gate, 1. The release mechanism shall be located on the pool side of the gate at least three inches below the top of the gate and 2. Any openings in the gate or barrier located within eighteen inches of the release mechanism shall be less than one-half inch. 3. Mechanisms controlled by an access card reader, key entry device or keypad shall be located on the outside of the access gate.

The flow is not sufficient to turnover the pool in the required time. Ensure flow stays at appropriate gpm to turn pool over.

weirs are not present in each skimmer. Each skimmer shall have a weir that adjusts automatically to variations in water level over a minimum range of four inches.

There is an equalizer line on the pool wall that has the cover missing. There are equalizer check valves missing in skimmers. Replace the equalizer cover and check valves. The skimmer equalizer lines shall be protected by an approved cover/grated with a flow rating equal the maximum system flow divided by the number of skimmers in the system or the maximum flow rating of the skimmer, whichever is greater.

The complete list of require pool risks is not posted. Ensure rules are a minimum of at least 1 inch and include all required pool risks.

A sign stating the hours of operation and bather load is not posted. A sign shall be posted stating the hours of operation in clear view near the entrance and shall state the theoretical peak occupancy.
