High Priority - Observed: Establishment operating without a license from the Division of Hotels and Restaurants. Operator must obtain a public lodging license from the Division of Hotels and Restaurants within 30 days. Submit a license application and payment to DBPR/Bureau of Central Intake Unit, 2601 Blair Stone Rd., Tallahassee, FL 32399-0783. Reference: 509.241(1), (2) FS, 61C-1.002(6) FAC: 509.241(1) Each public lodging establishment shall obtain a license from the division. Such license may not be transferred from one place or individual to another. Licenses shall be renewed annually. (2) Each person who plans to open a public lodging establishment shall apply for and receive a license from the division prior to the commencement of operation. 61C-1.002(6) It is the responsibility of the licensee to renew the license prior to the expiration date. Any public lodging establishment operating on an expired license is deemed to be operating without a license, and subject to the penalties provided for this offense in law and rule-Administrative Complaint.
