The required list of spa risks is not posted. See attachment on email for complete list of required pool risks. Warning signs for spas shall be in clear view of the spa and prominently displayed. Signs shall state the spa's address, the location of the nearest telephone with references that emergency telephone numbers are posted at the location. These emergency telephone numbers should include the name and phone number of the nearest available police, fire or ambulance service, and "911" if available. Signs shall include, but not be limited to the following messages: (see email with signage info)

.13(2)(b) There is no documentation to verify the annual gas fired inspection is performed. An annual gas fired inspections shall be performed by a qualified professional.

Obeserved that chlorine was 1.5 ppm. CA: Chlorine shall be at the required levels as discussed in the code.

Observed that the flow meter is not properly working. CA: A flow meter measuring the rate of flow through the filter system with an appropriate range readable in gallons per minute (GPM) and accurate within ten percent actual flow shall be provided.

Observed that there is no available information to verify a daily safety check is being performed. CA: A safety self-inspection shall be conducted daily by the trained operator or responsible person and documented on a log sheet.

Observed there are no available records onsite to verify twice daily chemical testing is performed. CA: The trained operator or responsible person shall collect water samples from the water in the pool for monitoring. The water quality testing frequency shall be completed based on the requirements of the code.

Observed that cyanuric acid was well over 100 when adding drops into the comparator block. CA: Cyanuric accid shall be no greater than 90 ppm.

.18(5): The clock is not visible to spa users. A functioning clock shall be available and visible to spa users.

Observed that the flow meter appeared to be working, however, the required flow for the spa is less than 40, so the flow meter on it is not properly sized. CA: A flow meter measuring the rate of flow through the filter system with an appropriate range readable in gallons per minute (GPM) and accurate within ten percent actual flow shall be provided. The flow indicator shall be capable of measuring from one-half to at least one and one-half times the design flow rate.

Observed there are no available records onsite to verify twice daily chemical testing is performed. Observed that the spa warning signs were not posted. CA: Warning signs for spas shall be provided as follows: (a) Signage which states safety, emergency and operational aspects of the spa, shall be prominently located near the spa.

Observed that the emergency spa sign(s) were not posted. CA: Warning signs for spas shall be in clear view of the spa and prominently displayed. Signs shall state the spa's address, the location of the nearest telephone with references that emergency telephone numbers are posted at the location. Observed that the life guard signage is incorrect/incorrect height. CA: Where no lifeguard is on duty, a sign or signs shall be placed in clear view at or near the entrance to the pool and shall state in clearly legible letters at least four inches high “WARNING - NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY and RISK OF DROWNING - SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY”.
